Is lördagsgodis (sweets only on saturdays) a Swedish thing?
We try to practice it, but yesterday we lost our self deep down in a bag of sweets and a very good movie: Flashback of a fool. It was so so good. Other good movies Things we lost in the fire and My sassy girl.
Have you seen them?
Please recommend a movie you think I will like?

I have a pair of this, lucky me!
Found this

In Finland we have the lördagsgodis tradition too; many kids have a so called 'godisdag', the only day in the week they're allowed to have sweets (or at least this was common when I was a kid - we didn't have one in my family, we were really discouraged to eat sweets...), and usually that day is Saturday. In shops you can even buy an assortment of sweets called Lauantaipussi = Lördagspåse.

Oh, and about movies.... Have you seen Juno yet? It was good, and left me feeling good - sometimes I need to watch movies which leave me warm and happy, instead of serious masterpieces.

...Men "no country for old men" var också bra.

When I was a child, my father would give us a small allowance every Saturday which we would promptly spend at the corner store on candy. So I did grow up with a similar tradition, though I don't think it's a culturally "Canadian" thing, just my parents trying to limit the amount of sweets we had. But a very good idea that I should probably think of re-instating (I eat a ton of candy.)

As far as movies go, I would highly recommend "Deep Water", a documentary about the disastrous 1968 round-the-world yacht race. It's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
