Is lördagsgodis (sweets only on saturdays) a Swedish thing?
We try to practice it, but yesterday we lost our self deep down in a bag of sweets and a very good movie:
Flashback of a fool. It was so so good. Other good movies
Things we lost in the fire and
My sassy girl.
Have you seen them?
Please recommend a movie you think I will like?
I have a pair of this, lucky me!
Found this inspiring blog today.

i think i should start adopting lördagsgodis... i've been eating godis almost everyday, i love them so much! n_n
i would recommend...
the darjeeling limited
(directed by wes anderson)
and
the fisherman and his wife (directed by doris dorrie)
jag såg el orfanato (barnhemmet) häromdagen, den var väldigt bra! såg förresten för ett tag sedan into the wild som du tipsade om, vilka fina miljöer.
We have Saturday sweets here in Finland, too!
its definitely also a danish thing! i got lørdagsslik every saturday my childhood! 5 kr blandet!
In Finland we have the lördagsgodis tradition too; many kids have a so called 'godisdag', the only day in the week they're allowed to have sweets (or at least this was common when I was a kid - we didn't have one in my family, we were really discouraged to eat sweets...), and usually that day is Saturday. In shops you can even buy an assortment of sweets called Lauantaipussi = Lördagspåse.
Oh, and about movies.... Have you seen Juno yet? It was good, and left me feeling good - sometimes I need to watch movies which leave me warm and happy, instead of serious masterpieces.
:)
what a treat!
"darjeeling limited" var verkligen udda och feelgood film!
Jag måste ju kontra med lite action/serietidningsbaserade filmer. Senast "ironman" och "hellboy". Båda har bra specialeffekter och sköna skådisar och man blir glad och upplyft.
Jag klarar nästan inte av de där tungsinta filmerna längre, även om jag älskar dem.
...Men "no country for old men" var också bra.
förresten har jag "taggat" dig!
såg things we lost in the fire i helgen och den va sååå bra. en riktig snyftfilm. bra filmsmak :)
Caramel! En Libanesisk film, superhärlig.
Puss! hanna
When I was a child, my father would give us a small allowance every Saturday which we would promptly spend at the corner store on candy. So I did grow up with a similar tradition, though I don't think it's a culturally "Canadian" thing, just my parents trying to limit the amount of sweets we had. But a very good idea that I should probably think of re-instating (I eat a ton of candy.)
As far as movies go, I would highly recommend "Deep Water", a documentary about the disastrous 1968 round-the-world yacht race. It's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Vilka härliga färger!
